PORTRAITS OF LIFE IN POETRY AND PROSE
Quite a lofty assumption, isn’t it? Really, like all of us, I can only report on my perception of life. My life, specifically. Or my life as it intersects with the lives of others…and sometimes the deaths.
This communion of perception and reality as expressed by the biology around me, is my ecology. How I came to be in this place, in this time surrounded by the diversity of life I experience, is my cosmology–my story of how and why I came to be here.
I will share what I experience with you, and I have a request of you. For this to be a true ecology, it requires that we interact, that we allow ourselves to discover the edges and the heart of our lives as it is mirrored or mimicked in the lives of others. A true ecology requires an understanding of why there is life in this place and what it needs as sustenance to survive and how our interdependence is essential.
Your comments and feedback become the meeting ground upon which we form community and in which we explore our ecology and cosmology. Thank you for taking the time to consciously continue your life-journey with me!
